ternYpe International Roma Youth Network is launching a call for two trainers within the project Roma Youth Policy Influencers – Roma Youth Consultative Body, supported by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
About the Project
Roma youth remain underrepresented in democratic structures and policy processes across Europe. Despite existing commitments, including Recommendation CM/Rec(2023)4 on Roma youth participation, implementation at national level remains limited.
Roma Youth Policy Influencers aims to strengthen Roma youth participation by equipping 20 Roma youth activists from 10 European countries with tools for policy monitoring, advocacy and engagement with public institutions.
The International Training
11–17 May 2026 | Berlin, Germany
The selected trainers will co-design and facilitate a 6-day international training focused on:
- Policy monitoring methodologies
- Stakeholder mapping and advocacy strategy
- Democratic participation and youth representation mechanisms
- Addressing antigypsyism through a human rights-based approach
- Implementation of Council of Europe standards on Roma youth participation
The training will serve as the foundation for a structured national monitoring phase and the development of a European advocacy paper and a draft framework for a Roma Youth Consultative Body.
Role of the Trainers
Trainers will:
- Co-design and facilitate the full training programme
- Integrate Council of Europe standards and recommendations
- Provide practical tools for policy monitoring and advocacy
- Prepare participants for the national follow-up phase
- Collaborate with mentors to ensure coherence of the project
Honorarium
This is a paid position. Trainers will receive a fee of 650 EUR (gross) covering preparation and delivery. Travel, accommodation and meals in Berlin are fully covered.
